Welcome

Child-led Emotion Coaching provides one to one support for children of all ages to reduce anxiety, process big feelings and learn self-regulation skills for modern life.

I use a blend of techniques relating to emotion coaching such as Drawing and Talking, Emotional Literacy and Sand Tray therapy.

Based in a tranquil ‘calm cabin’ in a garden in the stunning countryside of North East Dorset, I serve people in Verwood, Wimborne, Cranborne, West Moors, Poole and the surrounding areas.

What can emotion coaching help with?

Supporting your child's emotional needs can help in many ways, these are some of the most common areas dealt with:

  • Suffering with low self-esteem issues or displaying a lot of anxiety
  • Friendship troubles
  • Starting to display OCD traits
  • Struggling with attending school or have separation anxiety
  • Struggling with a bereavement or loss
  • Displaying outbursts of big emotions at home
  • Experiencing changes in family circumstances such as divorce or separation
  • Struggle with being resilient
  • Looked after children that need some extra social/emotional support
  • School’s support is not quite enough for their social and emotional wellbeing
  • Your child is on the waiting list for a CAMHS referral, and you need some interim help.

It’s important to influence a child’s sense of self-worth in a positive way, as early on in their life as possible.

This empowers them to confidently be themselves and guides them on the right path to becoming well-adjusted, regulated individuals.

Please explore the rest of this website to learn more about me and the different therapeutic interventions I can offer.

Contact me through this website or by emailing claire@childledemotioncoaching.co.uk and we can arrange a time to have an initial chat on the phone to see how we can work together to help your child.

If we both agree to move forward from there, I will send you a little questionnaire to fill in which will give me a deeper insight into your child’s behaviour and the things they find challenging.
